Some Memphis landmarks are instantly recognizable, and Charlie Vergos’ Rendezvous in downtown Memphis is certainly one of them.
A Memphis tradition since 1948, the Rendezvous is known for its legendary ribs, historic atmosphere, and distinctive alley entrance. When the restaurant’s familiar striped awnings began showing signs of wear, Parasol Awnings was called on to give them a fresh look.
Rather than replacing the existing structures, Parasol recovered the convex awnings with Sunbrella fabric in a striking Terra Cotta and Forest Green stripe. The new fabric refreshes the building’s appearance while preserving the curved profiles and familiar character of this iconic Memphis destination.
